Domestic Abuse

A new domestic abuse law came into force in Scotland on 1st April 2019.  This law creates a new offence covering psychological harm, as well as physical harm.

Abusers engaging in a pattern of coercive and controlling behaviour can be punished by law, offering more protection for all victims of domestic abuse.
