Important Changes During Pandemic ....
Patient must not attend the practice in person without an appointment.
If you have been asked to collect something from reception you should do so between 4pm and 5pm. The reception will be closed off at all other times.
All contact with the practice is initially by telephone. This includes telephone consultations with the GPs and Practice Nurse.
If a GP or Practice Nurse needs to see you face-to-face you will be given a time to attend.
The Practice Nurse has pre-booked appointments for cervical smears and only those bloods requested by the GPs will be pre-booked with the Treatment Room Nurse.
For all face-to-face appointments please attend at your allotted time and wait in your car or outstide until you are called to come in. Come alone unless you need support and face coverings must be worn all the time you are on the premises.
Prescriptions can be ordered through our online service, which staff will be happy to set up for you, or by telephoning the practice and selecting option 2 where you will be able to leave a message. You must state your name, date of birth and the name of the medication you are requesting. To reduce pressure on our local pharmacies we ask that you order your prescription directly with the practice rather than asking them to order it for you.
Your prescription will be forwarded to your preferred pharmacy for collection after three full working days, e.g. if you order on Monday afternoon it will be available to collect on Thursday afternoon. Please do not include messages unrelated to your prescription request either on online requests or on the prescription line. There is no need to call the practice to check if your prescription is ready.
If, after speaking to a GP or the Practice Nurse, a prescription has been issued for you and it is needed the same day you will have to collect it from reception between 4pm and 5pm. Otherwise your prescription will be forwarded to your preferred pharmacy the following day for collection in the afternoon.
Sick lines (MED3s) can be collected from reception between 4pm and 5pm. However, if you are unable to leave your home we can email it to you as a pdf document.
